Special Ed Consultant, Grant Writer & Tutor to Kids, Now Loving Math
Meet Staci Weile, a dynamic educator/educational leader with program management and expansive mentoring experience. She has served in the academic field for over thirty-five years in various roles from Pre-K to Adult Education.
After being certified in 1984, Mrs. Weile launched her teaching career in an underserved public elementary school, where she both taught students and advocated for their needs. After thirteen years in the classroom and becoming a mom of two, taught and managed programs forwarding adult literacy and lifelong learning for the developmentally disabled. In this tenure, she wrote and managed $2,000,000 annually in grant funding to increase generational literacy and workforce development opportunities for underserved populations on Staten Island, N.Y.
Elected as a volunteer parent representative to the local Community Education Council, she co-chaired the Special Education committee, facilitated parent training, as well as co-authored proposals on programs for special education students.
Most recently, Mrs. Weile worked in various charter schools as a teacher, grade leader, and case manager for students with IEPs (individualized Education Programs). Her contribution to these schools consisted of teaching various grades and subjects while mentoring new teachers; She currently serves as a math coach and avid dancer.
Mrs. Weile looks forward to using this experience to advise and grow Illuminating Human Kindness.
