If you asked Michelle’s colleagues about her best qualities, they would say she is playful, practical, wise, brilliant, and eccentric.

If you asked Michelle, she would say her superpower is seeing the best in people, often before they do. She is a practical optimist with a history of hitting the ball over the fence for clients and diverse, multicultural passion projects. Her contributions include developing strategic alliances in emerging global markets, coaching Fortune 100 CEOs and entrepreneurs in leadership, and developing an interdisciplinary, self-generative process that promotes human flourishing to experience the stuff of our happiest dreams.

She has authored two volumes, one on healing mental exhaustion via cognitive replenishment (Kindling the Flame) and one on the life lessons revealed in poetic form (Walking Flower: a blossoming of consciousness).

1988 Michelle co-led a citizen diplomacy initiative with Seattle’s sister city in Tashkent. This resulted in partnering with a global-based consultancy developing joint venture projects in emerging markets. Having served on the distinguished Boards of both Nahcotta and Kalapana Sanctuaries, Michelle has learned firsthand the power of intentional community as part of a team of land preservers.

Recently, Michelle took a sabbatical to answer one question,

What is the best use of the three decades of coaching and servant leadership wisdom garnered? The type of wisdom that witnesses the beauty inherent in all and is remarkably effective at getting us out of our own way onto flourishing.

Answer, Make it more readily available to emerging leaders (young adults) and intergenerationally to those seeking encouragement to forge a cohesive, kinder path forward as their whole, imperfect selves.

How? By sharing VAST ‘s treasury of light as a spark to ignite Illuminating Humankindness through the teaching of Kindhearted Power, Imagination, and Wonder. We spread encouragement and resilience to more dear souls.

Michelle deeply appreciates and acknowledges the VAST Institute entrepreneurial, C Suite, Owner, and business client community that has co-created and illuminated our path as a trusted advisor, business strategist, and coach over the past three decades. What we have learned together shall expedite the illumination of humankind.

She loves to paint, play steel drum, and commune with friends over delicious food and libation. Michelle imagines us becoming a human family on this planet, in harmony, in her lifetime.
